About The Position

FIA NOW Employment Solutions is partnering with a mission-driven media organization seeking a forward-thinking Head of Product to lead the evolution of a modern, audience-centered digital ecosystem. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a product strategist who understands how digital product management, audience growth, UX, AI, community engagement, and content platforms work together to create meaningful user experiences and long-term engagement. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of: Digital product leadership, UX and customer journey strategy, Audience engagement and retention, Agile product development, Data-informed decision making, Cross-functional collaboration, AI and emerging technology awareness. This role requires a leader who can think strategically while also driving execution in a fast-moving, evolving environment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in: Digital Product Management, Product Strategy, UX / User Experience Leadership, Audience Growth or Digital Engagement
  • Proven success building or scaling customer-facing digital products
  • Strong understanding of digital audience behavior, engagement, and retention strategies
  • Experience working in media, publishing, nonprofit, content, or community-driven organizations strongly preferred
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
  • AI & Emerging Technology Familiarity with: AI tools, Automation platforms, Large Language Models (LLMs), Emerging digital technologies
  • Interest in applying AI to improve workflows, audience experience, and operational efficiency
  • Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills
  • Experience in agile, startup-style, or high-growth environments
  • Ability to prioritize and execute with speed and focus
  • Systems thinker with a problem-solving mindset
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and organizational transformation

Responsibilities

  • Lead Product Strategy & Digital Growth: Own and evolve the digital product roadmap across web, newsletters, mobile, and emerging platforms. Drive audience growth, engagement, retention, and repeat usage. Improve customer journeys, usability, accessibility, and overall user experience. Lead rapid testing, experimentation, and iterative product improvements.
  • Audience & Community Experience: Build engaging digital experiences that strengthen audience participation and connection. Create seamless user flows that balance content, usability, and engagement. Help shape a digital ecosystem designed around daily audience utility and long-term loyalty.
  • Product Development & Innovation: Lead product initiatives from concept through launch and optimization. Prioritize high-impact features and scalable solutions. Introduce lean, agile workflows that support speed and innovation. Collaborate with technical teams, developers, and organizational leadership.
  • Analytics & Performance: Define and track KPIs tied to audience engagement and platform performance. Use analytics and behavioral insights to inform product decisions. Translate data into actionable growth strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with content, marketing, operations, and technology teams. Align product strategy with organizational goals and audience needs. Foster collaboration between creative, editorial, and technical stakeholders.
