About The Position

Range is creating AI-powered solutions to eliminate financial complexity for its members, transforming wealth management through a blend of technology and human expertise. The company has built an integrated platform for investments, taxes, retirement planning, and estate management. Backed by Google's Gradient Ventures and Cathay Innovations, Range is in a hyper-growth phase and seeking talented individuals to shape its culture. The Head of Product will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Range's platform, including its AI-powered wealth manager and tools for advisors and members. This role is based at Range's Headquarters in McLean, VA, with an in-office schedule Monday through Friday. Relocation assistance may be discussed for candidates not currently in the area.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product management, including experience leading product at the Head/VP/Senior Director level.
  • A track record building consumer or prosumer products in fintech, wealthtech, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience shipping AI/ML-powered features as a core part of the product.
  • Sharp instincts for balancing automation with human-in-the-loop design, especially in high-trust, high-stakes decisions.
  • Proven ability to hire, grow, and lead a product team from the ground up while operating with startup speed and scrappiness.

  • Wealth management or financial planning experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap across Range's member experience, AI-driven wealth management capabilities, and advisor-facing tools.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and leadership to turn company strategy into a clear, prioritized product plan.
  • Work hand-in-hand with financial planners and advisors to ensure product decisions reflect real advisory workflows, member needs, and regulatory realities.
  • Drive the roadmap for AI-powered features, including predictive planning, proactive recommendations, and tax optimization, balancing automation with human expertise.
  • Define and track key metrics and represent product strategy and progress to executives, the board, and investors.
