The Head of Product - Lottery will act as a senior lottery product authority, with strong experience across regulated digital and retail lottery products for national and state lottery operators. The role focuses on ensuring lottery products are designed, specified, and delivered correctly, in line with regulatory, certification, and operational requirements. You will work closely with development teams, Product Management, and commercial stakeholders, and support customer engagements and RFP responses with deep lottery product expertise.

Requirements

  • Significant hands-on experience working with regulated lottery systems or lottery products (national or state lotteries).
  • Strong understanding of lottery product mechanics across digital and retail environments.
  • Proven experience working closely with software development teams on complex, regulated products.
  • Solid understanding of lottery market structures, suppliers, and operator requirements across different regions.
  • Experience supporting RFPs, RFIs, and customer-facing product discussions.
  • Ability to mentor and support Product Managers and Product Owners through deep lottery domain expertise.
  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycle in regulated environments.
  • Ability to explain complex lottery concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clients.
  • Experience working with distributed or remote development teams.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Structured, proactive, and delivery-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject-matter expert for regulated lottery products, including draw-based number games, RNG-based digital draws, and pool-based lottery sports games, across different lottery markets.
  • Support complex lottery portfolios, including core number games and associated supplementary and add-on mechanics, tailored to different market and regional requirements.
  • Ensure lottery product designs comply with national and state lottery regulatory, certification, and audit requirements.
  • Work closely with development teams to translate lottery product requirements into correct technical solutions.
  • Support Product Managers and Product Owners with lottery domain expertise, improving requirement quality and delivery speed.
  • Review product specifications, designs, and implementations to ensure correctness and completeness.
  • Support RFPs, RFIs, and tender responses with accurate and credible lottery product input.
  • Participate in customer meetings, workshops, and presentations with lottery operators as a lottery product expert.
  • Stay informed on developments in lottery products, and market practices.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events when required.
