About The Position

Pagaya is seeking a highly strategic, commercially driven Head of Portfolio Management to serve as the commercial lead for the Personal Loans portfolio. This role involves performing and reviewing deep quantitative analysis to drive business outcomes. The Head of Portfolio Management will lead a distributed team of 7-8 direct reports based in NYC & Tel Aviv, owning deal economics, pricing, and portfolio strategy. The ideal candidate is an innovative leader who leverages advanced data science to improve customer conversion, ensure tight customer-facing alignment, and expand bottom-line profitability.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in consumer lending, credit strategy, or portfolio management
  • At least 3 years in a player-coach role that includes managing distributed or international teams (experience managing teams in Israel is a strong plus).
  • Demonstrated success in driving portfolio strategies, optimizing pricing, and navigating evolving credit environments through rigorous quantitative analysis.
  • Deep understanding of consumer credit risk and data-driven decision making.
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex quantitative analysis into clear executive-level recommendations, with a proven track record of driving customer alignment and managing through organizational transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform, review, and own deep quantitative analysis of the Personal Loans portfolio to drive profitable growth across the full customer lifecycle—from acquisition strategy to collections and recovery.
  • Act as a key liaison in partner-facing alignment, ensuring that portfolio strategies, pricing, and analytics translate effectively to create a win-win with our partners.
  • Lead risk-based pricing frameworks and unit economics. Balance risk and reward to maximize margins and risk-adjusted yield while maintaining market competitiveness.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of analytics and portfolio professionals, including directly managing and aligning with teams in Israel. Establish a culture of rigorous analytical and financial discipline during a critical organizational transition.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with Risk, Product, Capital Markets, and Engineering to align portfolio strategies, share quantitative insights, and uncover new revenue pools.
