About The Position

AM Specialty Insurance Company (ASIC) is seeking a senior, experienced VP of Human Resources to lead and scale the firm’s U.S. people strategy, HR operations, and talent management framework. This role will serve as the primary HR leader for the U.S. business, with responsibility spanning talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits oversight, compliance, and culture development. The VP of Human Resources will partner closely with executive leadership and the Board to ensure that ASIC’s people strategy supports disciplined growth, operational rigor, and long-term organizational resilience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive HR experience, including senior or standalone HR leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience across talent management, performance frameworks, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. employment law and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to operate independently in a senior leadership capacity within a growing organization.
  • Excellent judgment, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute ASIC’s U.S. human resources strategy in alignment with business objectives and growth plans.
  • Oversee end-to-end talent acquisition, including workforce planning, recruiting strategy, and senior-level hiring.
  • Design and manage performance management, employee development, and succession planning frameworks.
  • Provide senior-level guidance on employee relations, disciplinary matters, and workplace issues.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Partner with executive leadership on organizational design, culture initiatives, and change management.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on HR risk, people strategy, and workforce trends.
  • Manage HR policies, procedures, and governance documentation.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Legal to ensure HR processes are operationally sound and audit-ready.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement across the organization.
