About The Position

Bellows Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical is looking for a senior operations leader to help lead and scale our growing multi-trade service business across plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other home service lines in the North Bay. This role is focused on building systems, developing leaders, and driving performance as we continue to expand over the next 18–24 months. This is a full-time, in-office leadership position based in our Novato location. This is not a maintenance role, it’s a build-and-scale role. You’ll work directly with the General Manager, CEO, and Operations Manager to strengthen operations, improve performance, and develop a leadership structure capable of supporting continued growth. This role is designed to complement and elevate our existing team by bringing in experience with scaling a service business. You will partner closely with the Operations Manager and department leaders to improve systems, increase efficiency, and build consistency across the organization. This is a strong fit for someone who has helped grow a residential or field-service business and wants to have a real impact on the next stage of growth.

Requirements

  • Experience in the skilled trades or service-based industries (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, construction, roofing, solar, or similar)
  • Proven experience leading operations and managing teams in a field-based environment
  • Track record of long-term roles with increasing responsibility and impact
  • Experience working in a growing company and contributing to measurable performance or revenue growth
  • Experience managing managers and multi-level teams
  • Strong leadership, accountability, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build systems and improve operational efficiency in a fast-moving environment
  • Comfortable working closely with ownership/GM and being accountable for results

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ServiceTitan or similar platforms preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations across multiple home service departments (plumbing, HVAC, and electrical)
  • Develop and manage department managers, supervisors, and field leadership
  • Improve technician productivity, scheduling efficiency, and overall service performance
  • Build and implement systems, processes, and accountability structures that support scale
  • Track and manage key metrics (revenue performance, conversion rates, average ticket, technician output)
  • Partner with the General Manager on operational strategy and growth planning
  • Drive consistency in execution across service, install, and support functions
  • Build a performance-driven culture focused on results, accountability, and customer experience
  • Identify operational gaps and implement solutions that improve efficiency and scalability
