About The Position

If IBP cycles, IL6S practices, and 3PL orchestration are your toolkit, Mondelēz International wants you to lead logistics and materials performance across our bakery cluster and the Chicago flagship bakery. Imagine this scenario A port disruption threatens import schedules, co‑packing windows are tight, and customer demand is surging. You activate the business continuity plan, re‑sequence materials via IBP, flex co‑packing capacity, and negotiate with providers—protecting service while holding the cost line and complying with safety, quality, food defense, and legal standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience (union environment preferred) managing small and large teams in FMCG/CPG logistics.
  • Hands‑on manufacturing background with required experience in Product Supply and Materials Management, including project delivery.
  • Strategic communicator with financial acumen, stakeholder influence, and strong negotiation skills.
  • Managerial courage, conflict management, and demonstrated program leadership.
  • Proficiency in Food and Beverage Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end logistics: warehouse operations, transportation, international logistics (import/export), and co‑packing.
  • Implement the business plan and adapt supply chains to dynamic customer environments; ensure adequate operational capacity across routes‑to‑market.
  • Deliver the logistics operational budget with strong governance and financial controls; plan and control the function’s annual capital (AC) budget.
  • Drive continuous improvement and sustainability, reducing costs and carbon footprint while lifting service.
  • Own the monthly Integrated Business Planning process for strategic materials/product supply (cycling strategies, flexible scheduling).
  • Integrate materials management programs cluster‑wide so bakeries operate as one cohesive unit.
  • Define standards and KPIs; conduct assessments; ensure PDCA discipline and close gaps with corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis for product supply and materials management.
  • Develop long‑term relationships with third-party providers; promote best-practice adoption across internal and external partners.
  • Provide expertise for new projects and change initiatives; build a strong external network within the community/region/sector.
  • Ensure training and coaching are executed with an annual plan for all employees; build team capabilities and managerial effectiveness.
