About The Position

We’re looking for a visionary Head of Wealth Management to lead and scale our wealth management services nationwide. This is an entrepreneurial role where you’ll act as the CEO of your own service line, focusing heavily on business development and lead generation to drive growth. While this position is designed for someone who excels in leadership, strategy, and business growth—not as the primary "doer" of day-to-day wealth management tasks—you’ll need to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details early on. In the beginning, you’ll wear multiple hats to get the practice off the ground, but as the team grows, your focus will shift toward high-level strategy and expanding the business. Your ability to generate leads, handle early-stage operations, and transition into a leadership role will be key to the success and growth of our wealth management services. You will also be able to undergo Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) training, aligning you with Exemplar’s strategic business growth methodology and leadership culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ years in a leadership role within wealth management.
  • Proven experience managing $50M+ in AUM.
  • FINRA registration (Series 65 or 66).
  • Strong knowledge of investment products, asset allocation, risk management, and tax strategies.

  • Relevant certifications (CFP, CFA) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Business Development: Take ownership of generating new client opportunities, building a robust pipeline, and actively driving the growth of Exemplar’s Wealth service.
  • Portfolio Management: Develop innovative investment strategies, shape asset allocation models, and master risk management techniques to optimize client portfolios.
  • Financial Planning: Provide expert financial planning tailored to high-net-worth individuals and families, creating comprehensive plans for long-term success.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build genuine connections with clients, deliver personalized services that exceed expectations, and nurture lasting partnerships.
  • Team Building & Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of advisors, ensuring alignment with Exemplar’s value-based approach. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the team’s culture, performance, and growth.
  • Business Development: Lead initiatives to expand our client base, cultivate strategic relationships, and highlight the unique value of our wealth management services.
  • Cross-Selling: Work collaboratively across Exemplar’s other service lines (tax, law, capital, etc.) to maximize cross-selling opportunities and provide comprehensive solutions to clients.
