YOUR TASKS Develop, implement, and manage logistics strategies to ensure an efficient and cost-effective supply chain and transportation system. Oversee the utilization of logistics IT systems to optimize procedures and enhance the performance of all logistics activities. Delegate and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer service activities. Coordinate and monitor the supply chain operations from the planning and scheduling of production to the delivery of goods. Lead and manage the logistics team to ensure performance standards are met and maintained. Identify and address operational issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Forecast future demand and perform risk management procedures to ensure a stable supply chain. Liaise with stakeholders such as suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers to negotiate and improve supply chain efficiency and sustainability. Ensure regulatory compliance in all logistics processes and adhere to industry laws and rules. Prepare and manage budgets, and analyze logistics financial figures to optimize expenditure and increase profit. Implement health and safety measures within the logistics department, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Create and foster relationships with service providers and vendors to continuously improve the quality of logistic services.

Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a high-level logistics or supply chain management role.
Strong knowledge of logistics and inventory management software.
Proficient in strategic planning and risk management within logistics environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to lead, manage, and develop a team effectively.
Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to successfully negotiate contracts and bids.
Proven ability to design and implement effective logistics strategies.
Demonstrated knowledge of industry legal regulations and ISO requirements.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to present complex ideas to a variety of stakeholders.
Capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality service.
