As a Head of Investment Data within PNC's Asset Management Group Investment Office organization, you will be based in Philadelphia, PA. This role will define and drive the end-to-end strategy, governance, and operating model for investment data—ensuring high-quality, consistent, and scalable data capabilities that directly support investment decision-making, client outcomes, and business growth. You will operate at the intersection of investment management, data strategy, and operations, partnering closely with senior leadership, including the Investment Office COO, to deliver critical data initiatives across the platform.

Requirements

  • Proven experience defining and executing investment data strategy and governance frameworks within an investment context
  • Deep expertise in data sourcing and investment data domains (e.g., market data, reference data, performance, risk)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and operating model design
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex data concepts into business impact
  • At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required.
  • Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility is required.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the Investment Office’s data strategy, establishing a clear vision, roadmap, and priorities aligned with investment and business objectives
  • Act as the primary business leader for investment data, ensuring alignment across portfolio management, research, risk, and operations
  • Develop and execute strategy for sourcing and managing third-party investment data
  • Evaluate data providers and optimize the firm’s data ecosystem for quality, coverage, and cost efficiency
  • Own and translate business needs into clear data requirements and initiatives, ensuring solutions are aligned to investment workflows
  • Partner with the Investment Office COO and technology teams to drive execution and delivery of strategic data initiatives
  • Design and implement a robust data governance framework, including policies, standards, and ownership models
  • Establish and oversee controls, processes, and data quality standards to ensure accuracy, integrity, and regulatory alignment
  • Promote standardization of data definitions, usage, and reporting across all investment teams
  • Manages all aspects of organizational data; establishes and maintains policies and procedures for planning, designing and maintaining an information bank to ensure that data services are delivered in a high-quality and profitable manner.
  • Provides senior leadership, direction and methodology for analysis, structure and storage of critical organizational data.
  • Oversees the integrity, infrastructure, maintenance, and extraction of organizational data.
  • Assists in the development of major organizational activities and goals to ensure important data needs are anticipated, and met.
  • Reviews and recommends policies and procedures for collecting and managing organization data.
