Head of FP&A

Skillz Inc.Las Vegas, NV

About The Position

Skillz operates across multiple unique business lines with distinct revenue models, and without dedicated senior FP&A leadership, capital allocation decisions are made on incomplete information and budget overruns go undetected until it's too late. This role owns the Corporate FP&A function end-to-end: calendar and process across different business units, forecast accuracy for Corporate (including CashFlow), BvA delivery/month end process, team performance, and the financial accountability culture across all department heads. Beyond execution, this hire builds the infrastructure and team capability that makes FP&A a scalable, strategic function as the business grows.

  • A results-oriented professional with a clear track record of connecting financial work to measurable business outcomes.
  • A hands-on leader who brings both strategic vision and operational depth, able to drive execution at the highest level while inspiring and developing a team to deliver exceptional results.
  • A clear communicator who is comfortable with conflict, willing to challenge poor investments, and able to hold stakeholders accountable with credibility and professionalism
  • Proficient in SQL and financial modeling, with the technical fluency to lead a self- sufficient, data driven team.
  • 10+ years in FP&A or corporate finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Proven experience leading an FP&A function or sub-function within a multi-hundred-million dollar consumption-based business or business unit; gaming industry experience strongly preferred.
