About The Position

We're a fast-moving company in the education space, and we're hiring an in-house Head of FP&A and Operations. This is a foundational role — you'll be the single owner of the financial plan, the operating budget, and the FP&A function across multiple business lines. If you're a smart generalist who can build a 10-year model from a blank sheet, talk with CFOs, and use AI tools to do the work of a small team, we want to talk.

Requirements

• 5–10 years in FP&A, investment banking, private equity, strategic finance at a high-growth operator, or a top-tier consulting firm with finance-heavy work.
• Ability to build a multi-year, multi-entity operating model from scratch and defend all assumptions.
• Proficiency in Excel/Sheets, including pivot tables, dynamic arrays, scenario toggles, and sensitivity tables.
• Aggressive, high-taste user of AI tools (Claude, GPT, Gemini, Perplexity, agentic workflows) with practical building experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with top-tier CFOs on financial matters.
• Strong writing skills, capable of producing concise, actionable memos.
• Obsessive attention to detail and a commitment to QAing own work.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting a capital raise (data room, diligence Q&A, model audit).
• Experience with cohort-based or multi-unit business economics.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a multi-year, multi-entity operating model, including unit economics, revenue build, cost structure, and consolidated P&L.
• Run the annual budgeting cycle and refresh actuals monthly, producing variance commentary for executives.
• Manage a rolling 13-week cash forecast across entities.
• Own and explain unit economics such as CAC, LTV, payback, contribution margin, and cohort analysis.
• Prepare investor-grade materials, including financial sections of fundraising decks, data rooms, diligence Q&A, and KPI dashboards.
• Build repeatable AI workflows to streamline monthly close and reforecast processes.
• Manage operational tasks including headcount planning, vendor contracts, compensation design, and pricing analysis.
