As Head of Financial Information, you will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and provide operational oversight of the team responsible for producing consolidated financial reports. You will oversee the consolidation of results, the preparation of consolidated and statutory financial statements, and the preparation of documents for senior management, the audit committee, the board of directors, shareholders, and creditors, as well as the coordination of external audits. You will also ensure the quality of financial disclosures and the robustness of controls, in collaboration with the finance, FP&A, treasury, tax, and legal teams, as well as other internal business partners.

Requirements

  • A CPA designation and more than ten (10) years of experience in financial reporting, financial disclosure, consolidation, or the preparation of external financial reports, ideally within a large international company or a complex environment
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting requirements, consolidation, and environments involving multiple entities, currencies, and jurisdictions
  • A proven ability to analyze complex accounting issues, exercise sound professional judgment, and clearly communicate their impact on financial statements and disclosures
  • Relevant experience in supervising, coordinating, and developing finance teams, including setting priorities, coordinating deliverables, and engaging and developing talent
  • Attention to detail, a strong sense of responsibility, the ability to solve complex problems under tight deadlines, and excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written.

  • Proficiency with consolidation, disclosure, and ERP tools, including SAP, Longview, and Workiva, is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervising the team and overseeing the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports, ensuring quality, accuracy, adherence to deadlines, and compliance with applicable standards
  • Coordinating the consolidation of financial results across multiple entities, currencies, and jurisdictions, as well as the preparation of consolidated and statutory financial statements and related notes
  • Coordinating external audits of consolidated and statutory financial statements, including planning deliverables, ensuring the quality of audit files, and following up on requests
  • Prepare and review analyses and documents for presentations to senior management, the audit committee, and the board of directors, including significant variances, accounting judgments, presentation issues, and key messages
  • Contribute to US GAAP technical research and ensure the maintenance of policies, procedures, internal controls, and governance mechanisms related to consolidated deliverables
  • Serve as a key partner to the finance, FP&A, treasury, tax, legal, corporate accounting, business units, and other functions to ensure the consistency, quality, and integrity of financial data and deliverables
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the closing and consolidation cycle, including the optimization of processes, documentation, automation, and data quality control
  • Collaborate with the financial systems team to ensure the integrity of consolidation data and the effectiveness of the tools used
  • Develop, engage, and support the team, while promoting the sharing of financial and accounting knowledge within the organization.
