About The Position

We're looking for our first Head of Finance to build and scale Traysar's finance operations. You'll own day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, cash management, ERP, budgeting, procurement controls, and financial processes while partnering closely with leadership and external finance partners. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building systems from scratch and helping scale a fast-growing defense technology company.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or controllership.
  • Experience working in a startup or other fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Ability to build processes from scratch, adapt quickly, and be tech driven.
  • Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting.
  • Experience building or improving finance processes and internal controls.
  • Experience working with multiple legal entities or international operations.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience with ERP and accounting systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in a venture-backed startup or high-growth technology company.
  • Experience in manufacturing, hardware, robotics, aerospace, defense, or another complex operating environment.
  • Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, or hardware-related finance operations.

  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and board reporting.
  • Experience working with Israeli subsidiaries, Israeli accounting firms, payroll providers, or statutory reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Own Traysar's day-to-day finance operations, including monitoring macro/rate changes and money market account opportunities.
  • Manage month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash management, including monthly budget vs. forecast reporting.
  • Support fundraising, due diligence, data rooms, and board reporting.
  • Partner with External Auditors on the year-end audit and with outside tax advisors on tax planning, including identifying available tax breaks (e.g., land and equipment).
  • Manage finance operations across the U.S. and Israeli entities, including state, federal, and local tax filings, payroll, and statutory reporting in both jurisdictions.
  • Build and improve finance processes, controls, and internal policies for employees expenses.
  • Administer equity programs (option grants, 409A, cap table) across U.S. and Israeli plans.
  • Oversee legal and compliance matters spanning the U.S. and Israel, partnering with outside counsel as needed, insurance programs (D&O, GL, property), and renewals.
  • Identify and secure government and municipal incentives, tax abatements, grants, and location-based programs across all operating jurisdictions.
  • Review and negotiate leases, vendor agreements, and other larger transactions and large purchases, ensuring compliance with company policy.
  • Manage treasury and lending strategy, with scenario analysis of debt options, interest cost, and runway impact.
  • Manage money market accounts, debits, and banking relationships.
