About The Position

Mintlify is seeking a Head of Engineering to partner directly with the founders, shape company and product strategy, and translate that vision into engineering priorities. The role involves building a world-class engineering organization to meet growing demand, scaling the team, attracting exceptional talent, and developing new product lines. The Head of Engineering will own engineering execution, technical foundation, set priorities, improve engineering velocity and reliability, and ensure the organization can support Mintlify's rapid growth and enterprise customer base.

Requirements

Proven scaling experience: Has scaled an engineering organization from roughly 10 to 50 engineers at an early stage company and understands the challenges that come with rapid growth.
Deep technical credibility: A hands-on engineering leader with strong experience across modern backend systems, cloud infrastructure, platform architecture, and systems at scale.
An exceptional talent builder: Has a track record of identifying, recruiting, developing, and retaining high caliber engineers and views recruiting as a core part of the job.
Strong product and business judgment: Has owned a product line end to end and understands how engineering decisions connect to customer needs, product outcomes, and company growth.
A first principles, high agency leader: Low ego, comfortable with ambiguity, willing to give direct feedback, and thoughtful about designing the right processes and operating rhythms for the company’s current stage rather than importing a playbook from somewhere else.
