The Frick Collection, an internationally recognized museum and research center, is known for its distinguished holdings of European paintings, sculpture, and decorative arts from the Renaissance through the nineteenth century. The collection originated with Henry Clay Frick and has grown significantly since opening as a museum in 1935. A critical component is the Frick Art Research Library. After a five-year closure for renovation, the Frick reopened in 2025 with new spaces for art display and educational programming. The museum remains a leader in arts education, with in-gallery teaching remaining foundational to its mission. The Ayesha Bulchandani Head of Education and Public Engagement leads a dynamic team within the Curatorial Department, upholding high standards of excellence. This role involves gallery talks, teaching for public and school groups, private tours, lectures, symposia, seminars, studio activities, workshops, in-gallery sketch nights, Access programming, and online programs. The position requires active participation in teaching, speaking to groups, engaging with patrons, and representing the Education Department. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Working with the Chief Curator, this role develops the vision and strategy for serving audiences and advancing the museum's mission through innovative and inclusive educational programming. It also nurtures cross-departmental programming and identifies key partnerships, acting as an ambassador for The Frick Collection.
