About The Position

Chainguard is seeking a Head of Developer Relations to build and lead a strategic, revenue-connected engine for developer-led growth. This role will focus on accelerating pipeline, earning trust in open source and enterprise developer communities, and directly shaping how developers discover, adopt, and champion Chainguard's products. The Head of Developer Relations will work closely with Growth, Product, Sales, and Engineering teams to build tools, content, workshops, and demos that convert developers from curious to committed. This is an opportunity to define modern Developer Relations and have a direct impact on product plans and company strategy.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in Developer Relations, Developer Marketing, or a closely related technical go-to-market role.
  • Proven team leadership experience.
  • A track record of tying DevRel work to measurable business outcomes (pipeline influence, developer adoption, activation rates, enterprise deal progression).
  • Deep cross-functional experience working with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Technical credibility in software development, infrastructure, or security.
  • Experience in enterprise sales cycles, including supporting customer calls, running workshops with prospects, and collaborating with field teams.
  • Strong instincts for prioritization.
  • A leadership style built on ownership, clarity, and coaching.
  • High bias toward action, especially in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Developer-Led Growth by building tools, sample apps, sign-up flows, get-started guides, and technical content.
  • Accelerate Enterprise Pipeline by running technical workshops for prospects, joining customer calls, and building technical assets for Sales leverage.
  • Act as the Technical Voice of the Developer by testing new features, surfacing friction, providing structured feedback to Product, and leading technical responses to security incidents.
  • Lead and Scale the Developer Relations team by coaching engineers, setting quarterly priorities, and operating with transparency.
  • Create Compounding Leverage by driving the team to build programs and content around key technical topics and spinning off content for wider reach.
