About The Position

Hercules is seeking a Head of Content to oversee and scale content production across various channels including social media, paid media, SEO, and their blog. This role involves managing a team, setting content standards, defining marketing messaging, and leading content strategy for written, static image, and video content across both paid and organic efforts.

Requirements

Exceptional long-form writing ability with a terse, simple, clear, convincing, authentic, and useful style. AI-generated content is not accepted.
Strong understanding of SEO, including search intent, content structure, on-page SEO, internal linking, content refreshes, and ranking factors.
Ability to create content that ranks and converts the audience into paid customers (commercial sense).
Technical fluency, including familiarity with concepts like APIs, authentication, hosting, and role-based access control.
Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to enhance workflow and productivity, with the ability to produce a high volume of quality articles (e.g., 50+ per month).
Experience managing at least 15 people.

Responsibilities

Own all content production at Hercules.
Manage a team of approximately 10 full-time employees and contractors.
Enforce and elevate content standards across the company.
Own and prioritize market angles and messaging.
Lead content strategy and production for SEO, blog, social media, product announcements, case studies, Google ads, and more.
Lead static image content strategy, primarily for Meta.
Lead video content strategy for paid ads (YouTube, Meta) and customer stories/announcements.
Own content across both paid and organic channels.
Hire and manage writers, editors, designers, and other creators.
