About The Position

SimCorp is seeking a Head of Commercial Strategy to support its rapidly growing Americas business unit, with a particular focus on North America, which represents the largest growth market for the company. This role is mission-critical to SimCorp's ambition to lead the buy-side investment management solutions industry. The Head of Commercial Strategy will partner closely with the regional Head of Americas to craft a market-leading commercial strategy for their buy-side target markets. This includes market positioning, sales enablement, pricing strategy, and organizational design. The ideal candidate will possess a deep background in the buy-side and the ability to influence and drive commercial success during a significant growth phase.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience within the investment management function of an Asset Manager or a buy-side consultancy organization.
  • Strong understanding of the full value chain of an Asset Management organization, its drivers, and market landscape development.
  • Insight into the software landscape for investment management and the macro-trends shaping the future of the industry.
  • Experience with commercial strategy, sales enablement, and commercial execution.
  • Empathetic, and thrives working closely with people.
  • Ability to work on-site at our office in NYC at least 2 days per week.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience across the buy-side vendor system landscape is preferred, but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Guide senior management in understanding and translating market opportunities into SimCorp's corporate vision and strategy.
  • Contribute strategic insights on industry innovation and trends, including navigating the competitive landscape.
  • Run strategic deep-dives on core subject areas, engaging the wider organization and leveraging industry knowledge and perspective.
  • Prepare C-suite reports on market dynamics, positioning, and intelligence on the competitive landscape.
  • Contribute to thought leadership pieces in the industry that impact SimCorp's clients and community.
