About The Position

We are seeking a results-oriented senior leader to serve as Head of Cognitive Networks Solutions (CNS) within Networks Americas. As the leader of CNS as a standalone Solution Area, you will define and execute the business strategy, drive profitable growth and customer value, and scale the capabilities needed for the future of intelligent and autonomous networks. This role brings together presales, solution expertise, consulting, and domain capabilities to create stronger alignment across the customer lifecycle, from opportunity development and solution design through execution and value realization. The Head of CNS will lead a diverse team of presales, professional services, consulting, and technology experts, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and customer focus. This role is a member of the Networks Americas Leadership Team, reports directly to the Head of Networks Americas, and is based in Plano, Texas.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the telecommunications and wireless industries, including customer priorities, market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies.
• Deep expertise in network performance, design and optimization, service assurance, or network operations.
• Understanding of AI-enabled operations, automation, cognitive networking, and advanced analytics.
• Experience leading presales, solution development, consulting, or professional services capabilities.
• Demonstrated success developing and executing growth strategies that deliver measurable revenue, profitability, market, or customer outcomes.
• Proven ability to identify emerging opportunities and convert innovative ideas and technologies into scalable customer solutions and commercial offerings.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in the telecommunications infrastructure industry, including significant Radio Access Network experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience in a customer-facing, presales, professional services, consulting, or telecommunications operator role.
• Demonstrated experience owning business results and delivering measurable customer, operational, and financial outcomes.
• Experience leading senior leaders, technical experts, and complex organizational transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead CNS as a standalone Solution Area, setting its strategy, priorities, operating model, and business objectives.
• Own the end-to-end CNS business, including profitable growth, customer outcomes, operational performance, and capability development.
• Define and execute a growth strategy that expands the CNS business, increases market penetration, and creates new opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
• Integrate CNS presales, solution expertise, consulting, and domain capabilities to provide a seamless customer experience.
• Develop differentiated customer solutions focused on cognitive networks, automation, AI-driven operations, network optimization, and intelligent service assurance.
• Build and scale innovative, repeatable solutions and business models that respond to emerging customer needs and strengthen Ericsson’s competitive position.
• Accelerate the industrialization and commercial adoption of new CNS capabilities, translating innovation into measurable customer value and profitable growth.
• Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders and position Ericsson as a strategic transformation partner.
• Partner across Customer Units, Sales, CTO organizations, Business Areas, and delivery teams to shape opportunities and maximize customer and business value.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing organization of presales, consulting, and technical professionals.
• Ensure operational discipline, financial performance, solution quality, and effective resource management.
