About The Position

The Head of COG Reinsurance Services leads the Billing and Settlements towers within COG Reinsurance Operations and reports to the SVP, COG Reinsurance Operations & Transformation. The role is accountable for end-to-end billing and collections performance across the Global Treaty reinsurance portfolio. It calls for an experienced reinsurance operations leader who can lead through others and establish consistent standards across two operational teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 10+ years of reinsurance operations, finance, or accounting experience.
• Deep knowledge of reinsurance treaty mechanics, including QS and XOL, and reinsurance billing and collections processes.
• Familiarity with Sapiens or comparable reinsurance systems, PeopleSoft AR, Alteryx, and AI-enabled automation.
• Proven ability to lead through others and drive results across teams not directly performing the work.
• Excellent executive communication skills, including the ability to represent the function to senior management and external partners.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree or reinsurance-related certification, such as ARe or CPCU.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage the COG Reinsurance Billing and COG Reinsurance Settlements teams.
• Set individual and team goals and development plans across both towers.
• Own succession planning and career pathing for the two Tower Heads and their teams, including cross-tower rotation opportunities.
• Own end-to-end billing and collections performance across Global Treaty, including statement issuance, cash application, aged debt, and SOX controls, and hold both teams accountable to agreed KPIs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external Brokers and Reinsurers and internal senior COG Finance, Ceded Re, and Regional Reinsurance Operations stakeholders on Global Treaty Billing and Settlements matters.
• Ensure desktop procedures, SOX documentation, and the query management framework are current and consistently applied across both towers.
• Own the roadmap for structural process and automation improvements across Billing and Settlements, prioritizing initiatives with the teams.
• Assess and drive opportunities for global process alignment across COG, COG Regions, and North America.
