About The Position

The Head of Automation & AI Enablement will build the Chief Administrative Office’s automation and AI platform from the ground up, reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel. The role partners with CAO leadership and teams across Legal, Strategic Sourcing and Contracts, Internal Audit, Brand and Central Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Client Experience to understand workflows, identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and deliver practical solutions. It is a hands-on leadership role combining process analysis, strategic prioritization, solution delivery, and adoption support. Legal is a particular focus, with a first-year priority on learning legal workflows and delivering automation that supports professional judgment and protects privilege and confidentiality. The role translates priority opportunities into solutions using existing tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, as well as agents, workflow tools, and system integrations developed with Technology partners. It establishes reusable platform components, standards, templates, prompt libraries, and documentation; builds trust and adoption across teams with differing levels of technology experience; and aligns work with Technology, Data, Information Security, Risk, Compliance, and the firm’s enterprise AI programme. Solutions must meet the firm’s AI, data, and model risk governance requirements, with clear human ownership of outputs. The role defines and reports measures such as hours returned, cycle time, quality, and risk reduction. Success in the first year includes an agreed CAO-wide view of priority workflows and a ranked automation and AI pipeline, multiple live Legal solutions with measured benefits, a repeatable delivery method in use across the division, and regular benefits reporting to CAO leadership. There are no direct reports at launch; the role leads virtual teams of functional champions and delivery partners, with potential for the team to grow. The position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The stated base salary range is $225,000–$250,000, and the posting is scheduled to be open through November 15, 2026.
