About The Position

KnowledgeBrief partners with organisations across the UK to strengthen leadership capability through emotionally intelligent, evidence‑based learning. Our programmes support leaders to develop practical, applied skills that drive organisational performance and embed inclusive, values‑driven cultures. Our primary mode of training is Apprenticeships, and we deliver on a remote-bases through an innovative, industry leading learner platform that has been developed from scratch in-house. Over the past two years, KnowledgeBrief has experienced a period of significant growth and success. We have expanded our apprenticeship portfolio, strengthened our digital learning ecosystem, and deepened our partnerships with employers across a wide range of sectors. This growth has been underpinned by a commitment to high standards, learner impact, and a consistently strong reputation for quality and professionalism. As we look ahead, we are entering an exciting new phase of development. Our strategic plans include expanding our apprenticeship offer, enhancing our digital learning and assessment capabilities, and investing further in the systems, people, and processes that support exceptional learner and employer outcomes. The Head of Apprenticeships will play a central role in shaping this next chapter, ensuring that our provision continues to grow sustainably, deliver measurable impact, and set the benchmark for quality across the sector. The Head of Apprenticeships will provide overall leadership for the performance, quality, and impact of all apprenticeship programmes at KnowledgeBrief. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will ensure that every aspect of delivery operates with clarity, consistency, and high standards. Working through leaders across performance, quality, curriculum, compliance, and client experience, you will create alignment across the Operations team and the organisation as a whole, ensuring that teams are supported, accountable, and focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for learners and employers. This role requires a leader who can combine strategic thinking with strong operational judgement, and who can provide calm, confident direction in conditions of ambiguity or change.

Requirements

  • Senior leadership experience across apprenticeship delivery
  • Proven ability to lead multiple functions (quality, curriculum, performance, compliance, client experience)
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted, funding compliance, audit readiness, and sector reforms
  • A track record of delivering high performance at scale, including retention, achievement, and timely completion
  • Experience leading teams through change with clarity and authority
  • High levels of data fluency and the ability to translate insight into decisions and priorities
  • Strong operational judgement and the ability to make confident decisions in ambiguity
  • Commitment to delivering apprenticeships that create measurable value for learners and employers
  • Credibility with employers, partners, regulators, and senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Translating strategic goals into clear, measurable actions across delivery, quality, curriculum, and operations
  • Overseeing performance metrics, ensuring progress is visible and outcomes are met
  • Leading a culture of accountability, ownership, and professional integrity across all teams
  • Ensuring Ofsted readiness, funding compliance, audit preparation, Safeguarding, and Prevent
  • Using data and insight to anticipate risks, diagnose issues early, and drive continuous improvement
  • Strengthening curriculum design, digital learning, and assessment readiness through evidence‑based practice
  • Ensuring operational efficiency, financial integrity, and a seamless learner and employer experience
  • Working with the Client Partnership Manager to ensure programmes deliver measurable ROI and high client satisfaction
  • Leading the organisation confidently through policy shifts, sector reforms, and periods of change
