Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Head of Artificial Intelligence. The right candidate will lead the development and execution of the corporate artificial intelligence strategy, establishing governance, compliance, and performance frameworks while delivering measurable business value. This role partners with executive leadership to prioritize investments, manage risk, and scale AI capabilities aligned with operational and financial objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or advanced analytics
  • 5+ years of leadership experience building or scaling enterprise AI or data science functions
  • Demonstrated experience implementing AI governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable financial impact through AI or advanced analytics initiatives
  • Experience operating in large, complex, or regulated environments
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form or via DRH applications
  • Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision

Responsibilities

  • Champion innovation through the exploration and adoption of emerging AI technologies and methodologies
  • Align AI applications with strategic objectives to drive efficiency, enhance customer experience, and support revenue growth
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate AI strategy with business initiatives and priorities
  • Oversee the development and readiness of infrastructure, tools, and computing capabilities required to support AI initiatives
  • Establish data governance practices to ensure data quality, security, and appropriate usage
  • Develop and enforce ethical AI guidelines addressing bias, privacy, and accountability
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and industry requirements related to AI and data usage
  • Define and monitor KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate outcomes, measure ROI, and inform strategic adjustments
  • Advise executive leadership on emerging AI technologies, regulatory developments, and industry trends to inform strategic planning
  • Support enterprise change management efforts to drive adoption of AI-enabled processes and data-driven decision-making
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Ability to travel overnight
