About The Position
Propel Schools is seeking a Head Middle School Girls Basketball Coach for the 26-27 season. This role involves coaching at multiple middle school locations within the Propel Schools network. The season is scheduled to begin on January 4th, 2027, and conclude in March, with potential for postseason play. The position includes a seasonal stipend of $1,750, prorated for coaches starting after the official season start.
Requirements
- Prior Middle School, Varsity and/or Junior Varsity Basketball coaching experience
- Up-to-date TB Test
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance
- Act 114 FBI Clearance
- Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
- Mandated Reporter Training
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a head coach
- Playing experience
- Demonstrated ability to build a successful program starting at the middle school level
- High level of personal organization and planning
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for assembling his/her coaching staff
- Experience coordinating a middle school basketball program with the coaching team and/or athletic director
- Experience implementing off-season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations
- Willingness and ability to attend all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
