About The Position

This is a part-time position for the 2026-2027 school year. The Head Lunch Supervisor, under the supervision of the building principal, will provide assistance to the total lunch program. This role involves recruiting, hiring, training, and scheduling lunchroom supervisors, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the lunch program and assisting with discipline.

Dependable character
Knowledge and/or training in safety procedures and risk management
Ability to work with people tactfully and courteously
Ability and desire to assist lunch supervisors, students and school personnel
Ability to make minor decisions in accordance with established policy
Good health, permitting the individual to do light clean up chores that are associated with the job.
Evidence of freedom from Tuberculosis indicated by results of a chest X-ray or a Tuberculin Tine Test

Responsibilities

Review and become familiar with the school crisis plan.
Recruit, and with concurrence of the building principal, hire lunchroom supervisors.
Recruit and schedule substitutes for lunchroom supervisors.
Provide training to lunchroom supervisors in safety procedures and risk exposure reduction.
Verify and submit in a timely manner weekly attendance sheets of lunchroom supervisors.
In concurrence with building principal develop work schedules and room assignments for lunchroom supervisors.
Provide orientation for new lunchroom supervisors and substitutes.
Supervise the day-to-day operation of the lunch program.
Assist the building principal with discipline problems.
Process and account for all discipline referral forms.
Efficiently move around all levels of the school building.
Move milk crates weighing up to 12 pounds.
