About The Position

LiceDoctors is seeking a part-time Head Lice Removal Technician. This role involves providing safe, effective, and natural lice treatment in clients' homes. Requirements

  • 18+ years old
  • Ability to perform hands-on, repetitive tasks
  • Reliable transportation
  • Sufficient command of the English language for client-facing role
  • Pleasant, articulate, patient, and confident demeanor
  • Positive attitude and enjoyment of working with families
  • Commitment to working a minimum of 2 shifts or 8 hours a week
  • Must pass background screenings and reference checks
  • Must be able to work in a drug and alcohol-free environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the hair or medical fields
  • Experience with children (School Nurse, Teacher, teacher aide, school aide, Pre-school, childcare, babysitter, au pair)
  • Experience as a Domestic Engineer (stay at home parent, home school, housekeeping)
  • Experience in the beauty/hair/spa industry (cosmetics, hairdresser, hair stylist, cosmetologist, barber, colorist, beautician, manicurist/pedicurist, esthetician, braider, salon attendant)
  • Experience in healthcare (nurse, school nurse, visiting nurse, HHA, CNA, EMT, PRN, phlebotomist, CMA, RN, CHHA, LPN, Homecare, Medical Lab Tech, Care Coordinator, health clinician, physician assistant, health practitioner, massage/occupation/physical therapist)
  • Experience with part time or gig economy jobs (for example on call, pet walker, pet sitter, mobile groomer, fitness instructor, yoga, exterminator, scientist, entomologist, travel agent, chauffeur, delivery driver, taxi driver, Uber, Lyft, musician, artist, author, actor, food delivery such as DoorDash, GrubHub)

Responsibilities

  • Remove all lice and nits from clients' hair with precision and care.
  • Educate families on lice prevention and treatment techniques.
  • Be a calming presence in anxious households, turning stressful situations into stress-free experiences.
  • Perform hands-on, repetitive tasks similar to those of a hairstylist.
  • Work with moms, dads, and caregivers, guiding them through the process.
