About The Position

This role involves overseeing janitorial duties, ensuring established standards are met, managing supplies and equipment, assisting with staffing and training, resolving conflicts, and performing janitorial tasks as needed. The position requires maintaining quality standards, investigating client complaints, and potentially working overtime, including extra hours, weekends, and holidays. A flexible schedule is essential.

Requirements

Flexible schedule is a must.
Monday - Friday 8 hours per day from 10:00am to 7:00pm (1 hour of unpaid lunch included)
Overtime may be required, including extra hours, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Assign janitorial duties to staff and regularly inspect their work to ensure that established standards are met.
Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to janitorial staff as needed. Take inventory of all cleaning supplies and equipment and inform management when supplies are depleted.
Assist recruiting department with staffing needs.
Provide training and guidance to janitorial staff.
Resolve conflicts between janitorial staff in an efficient manner.
Attend meetings and in-service training sessions as required.
Perform all janitorial duties necessary and cover when short-staffed.
Perform additional services like carpet extractions and floor maintenance.
Monitor staff attendance and report absences.
Complete and submit all required paperwork, including but not limited to quality reports, signoffs, and summary sheets.
Make recommendations to upper management regarding promotions, transfers, and dismissals.
Maintain quality standards.
Investigate and resolve clients’ complaints of missed or improperly cleaned areas.
Overtime may be required, including extra hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
Assist with the completion of additional work orders if necessary.
