About The Position

The Head Girls' Flag Football Coach at Century High School supports the Hillsboro School District's athletic objectives, interscholastic athletics policy, and Athletic Code. The District views extracurricular activities as an integral part of school life and encourages students of all abilities to participate and grow physically, intellectually, and socially. Coaches organize and conduct athletic programs to meet the needs of the District and participants.

Requirements

• Experience in and/or knowledge of the sport, coaching techniques, and student supervision.
• Ability and willingness to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with student-athletes, parents, assistant coaches, and other school staff.
• Ability and willingness to perform coaching responsibilities in accordance with school and District procedures and policies.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Current Concussion Management and other trainings required by the OSAA.
• Successfully pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Organize and conduct the athletic program to meet the needs of the school district and its participants.
• Support the Hillsboro School District's athletic objectives, interscholastic athletics policy, and Athletic Code.
• Conduct coaching responsibilities in accordance with school and District procedures and policies.
• Communicate with student-athletes, parents, assistant coaches, and other school staff.
• Maintain the integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or District patrons.
• Work harmoniously with others and collaborate on solutions to concerns.
