The Athletics Department at Marist University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position as Head Football Athletic Trainer. This position will report to the Associate Athletic Director, Student-Athlete Health and Performance. Athletic Trainers (ATs) are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Athletic trainers work under the direction of a physician, as prescribed by national/state licensure statutes. This position is responsible for the care and coverage of FCS Division 1 football team with 110 student-athletes and a Division 1 Water Polo team with 20 student-athletes. Both teams are considered high risk and require an advanced level of emergency care skills, as well as administrative workload.
