About The Position

The Head Events Electrician is responsible for implementing show-specific requests at Pechanga Arena San Diego, including 120-480 volt power distribution, lighting systems, energy conservation, and cable management. This role also involves assisting both front and back of house with power supply and load management. Requirements

• Possess understanding of the operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event-related services, and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated at the facility.
• Demonstrate proper knowledge of all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Understand and work from general instructions, specifications, blueprints, sketches, and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Demonstrate ability to carry out tasks in a reliable, productive, and expedient manner and be able to adhere to strict deadlines.
• Demonstrate knowledge of practices and procedures related to event set-up and conversions, typical methods and techniques for cleaning and maintaining the facility and proper use and care of hand power tools.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
• Follow all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures established at the facility.
• Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
• High School diploma or GED; experience in maintenance and repair of building electrical systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with live events or as a touring electrician with shore power and lighting systems required.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of an accredited technical school preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory experience role preferred.
• OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement show specific requests specific to Pechanga Arena San Diego, including but not limited to 120–480-volt power distribution, lighting systems, energy conservation, cable management, assisting both front and back of house with power supply and load management.
• Inspect and assist in all events electrical work and wiring to ensure the facility meets safety standards.
• Advise promoters, event coordinators, and other arena users on events electrical requirements.
• Assist with special event preparation, conversions, and post event needs, as requested.
