Requirements

  • 5+ yrs of kitchen experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-hire background checks, including criminal history clearance through the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH), child abuse clearance through the Department of Public Welfare, Motor Vehicle Record if required by position and federal background screening via FBI fingerprinting
  • Must have or be able to obtain the following prior to starting work: Mandated Reporter Training Certificate, Safesport Training Certificate
  • bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working in an outdoor and indoor all-season environment.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Support leadership in delivering the Woodward program experience.
  • Help train and support seasonal teammates.
  • Uphold Woodward Guest Service standards: Be Safe, Be Friendly, Be Helpful, Be Proud.
  • Contribute to a fun, safe environment for campers.
  • Lead daily kitchen flow and guide food handlers and servers.
  • Rotate stock to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
  • Prepare daily meals and menu items.
  • Follow recipes and prep guidelines.
  • Cook a variety of foods using multiple methods.
  • Assist with serving food when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace.
  • Keep front‑ and back‑of‑house areas clean and stocked.
  • Restock supplies as needed.
  • Assist with HACCP logs and communication with F&B Manager.
  • Help receive and store deliveries.
  • Support guests with dietary needs.
  • Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Maintain clean, stocked food lines.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Keep dishwashing areas clean and organized.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
