About The Position

Pennyrile Allied Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Head Cook. This role requires adherence to state food handling and hygiene standards, familiarity with preparing food for large groups using standardized recipes, and competence in using various cooking utensils and appliances. The Head Cook will also be responsible for food storage, stock rotation, inventory management, and record-keeping. Attendance at all directed trainings and performance of other duties as prescribed by the supervisor are also expected.

• Negative TB Skin Test
• Criminal Records Check/Pre-Employment drug screens

Responsibilities

• Adhere to state food handling and personal hygiene standards.
• Prepare food for large numbers of people using standardized recipes and written instructions.
• Competently use cooking utensils, ovens, stoves, ranges, and other food preparation appliances.
• Manage food storage, including differentiating between freezing, refrigeration, and pantry storage requirements.
• Understand stock rotation and inventory principles.
• Keep records related to food inventory and stock.
• Attend all trainings as directed by PACS.
• Perform other duties as prescribed by supervisor.
