About The Position

Boulder Valley School District is seeking a Head Coach for its 8th-grade boys’ basketball program at Manhattan Middle School. The coach will instruct and work with athletes to prepare them for competition and will be responsible for the overall IS basketball program. The position reports to the school principal. The activity dates are October 27, 2026, through December 11, 2026, with a total contract amount listed as $2,200–$2,903.

The district seeks a candidate with a high school diploma or equivalent who can communicate in English and has submitted a BVSD online application. Coaching experience, knowledge of school athletic and activity programming, and leadership experience working with middle school students are preferred. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of post-offer screening, including a background check and possible medical examination.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) in English.
• Completed and submitted BVSD online application.

• At least 3 years of coaching experience.
• Knowledge of all aspects of school athletic/activity programming.
• Proven leadership qualities and successful experience working with middle school students.

Responsibilities
