Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics is looking for a Head Coach for Women's Rugby (Non-NCAA) to instruct and manage an intercollegiate sports team that is not affiliated with the NCAA. This role involves planning and directing the training of student athletes, assessing individual abilities and skill levels to determine the best appropriate team position, and analyzing opposing team performance and capabilities to determine game strategy. The Head Coach will assist players in reaching their highest athletic potential through training and leadership skills, lead team practices, sporting events, and team development activities, and mentor students to foster athletic, academic, emotional, and social growth. Responsibilities also include purchasing and inventorying equipment, coordinating visiting team requests, compiling and maintaining statistical information, actively recruiting and retaining top talent, organizing team travel, overseeing promotion and fundraising efforts, and collaborating with the development office to identify, cultivate, and solicit donor prospects. The role also includes directing the entire recruiting process, establishing and enhancing the competitive schedule, maintaining compliance with University policies and regulations, overseeing Booster Clubs, establishing and enforcing rules and code of conduct, mentoring student-athlete growth, collaborating with various athletic and university units, overseeing team promotion and community outreach, scheduling and conducting summer sports camps, managing the operating budget, and potentially supervising staff members.
