About The Position

Frostburg State University Athletics Department is accepting applications for a full-time, exempt Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach to be responsible for the overall success, performance, and conduct of the FSU Bobcat Women's Lacrosse program. This role involves planning and directing the activities of a major athletic team, including the conditioning of student athletes, assessing player skills, assigning positions, evaluating team capabilities for game strategy, and coaching or directing coaches to instruct players in game techniques. The Head Coach will administer the program in compliance with all University System of Maryland, Frostburg State University, NCAA, and conference policies and procedures. Responsibilities include overall management and daily operations of the program, practice planning, game-day operations, recruiting, budget oversight, and the academic support and mentorship of student-athletes. This position supervises assistant coaches, graduate assistants, and student employees as applicable. The Head Coach will also promote the program through public relations efforts and by cultivating relationships with alumni and supporters. Additional duties may be assigned. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to the department’s philosophy and a collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 2-3 years of coaching experience at the high school level or 1 year of coaching experience at the collegiate level.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Proven ability to recruit student-athletes.
