Head Coach - Volleyball (Boys)
About The Position
Paterson Public Schools is seeking a Head Coach for Boys Volleyball for the upcoming season. The season will run from March 9, 2027, to June 14, 2027. This position is pending budget availability. All postings are open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date posted or until filled. Requirements
- DOE Certification Requirements (including volunteer coaches) must have one of the two certifications: New Jersey Teacher's Certification or New Jersey Instructional Substitute Credential (30 College Credits).
- Proof of experience required for Substitute Certificate holder.
- All coaches must hold a current (valid) adult CPR/AED and Basic First Aid Certification.
- All new coaches (starting 2007-2008 school year) must complete the NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Course before their first employment as a coach (one-time requirement).
- All coaches must complete the NFHS Concussion in Sports Course, renewed annually.
- All coaches must complete the NFHS Heat Illness Prevention Course, renewed annually.
- All coaches must complete the NFHS Implicit Bias Course (one-time requirement).
- All coaches must complete the BeNice Program (one-time requirement).
Nice To Haves
- Coaching experience preferred but not required.
- Meet such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Must be available daily during the spring sports season.
