About The Position

This role involves working under the direction of the school's athletic director to manage all aspects of the MS Girls Soccer program. Responsibilities include organizing tryouts, planning practices and games, managing team equipment, communicating with athletes and parents, ensuring eligibility standards are met, and collaborating with the athletic director on various program initiatives.

Requirements

Experience in coaching or playing soccer at a relevant level.
Ability to organize and manage a sports team.
Strong communication skills for interacting with athletes, parents, and athletic director.
Knowledge of school policies and athletic eligibility standards.
Ability to plan and execute practice and game strategies.
Willingness to manage team equipment and logistics.
Ability to work with other coaches and athletic director.

Nice To Haves

Experience in hiring, training, and evaluating assistant coaches.
Experience in organizing athletic camps and clinics.
Knowledge of summer workout and training programs.

Responsibilities

Work with and under direction of the school's athletic director for all things pertaining to their sport.
Organize and plan tryout processes and cut determinations for their sport.
Organize all practice plans for the season.
Organize and manage all aspects of games and other contests.
Assist with transportation arrangements of athletes for away contests.
Be responsible for all keys, medical kits, uniforms, and other equipment issued to the team.
Communicate with athletes and parents regularly on schedules, expectations, team goals, etc.
Hold players accountable for meeting school and team eligibility standards including grades.
Follow all school policies and complete other duties as outlined in the coach's handbook.
Work with AD and other coaches of their sport to sponsor athletic camps in the summer.
Plan, organize, and communicate out of season workouts, meetings, open gyms, camps and skills clinics as appropriate to their sport.
Work with AD to hire, train, and evaluate competent assistant coaches for their program.
