About The Position

West High School is seeking a passionate and committed individual to serve as the Head Coach for the Boys Soccer program. This position is essential to the continued growth and success of the boys soccer program and plays a critical role in promoting athletic excellence, personal development, sportsmanship, and school pride.

Requirements

• NFHS certifications (Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion in Sport, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Heat Illness Prevention, Bullying, Hazing, and Inappropriate Behaviors, Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training)
• First Aid/CPR certification (must be completed annually)
• UHSAA Annual Coaching Clinic (must be completed prior to the start of each sport season)
• Utah Educator Professional Standards (Read and E-sign)
• SLCSD Annual Athletic Coach Training & Coaching Agreement
• SLCSD Vector Trainings, including FERPA/Student Privacy training

Nice To Haves

• Previous coaching high school soccer experience
• Experience working with high school students in an athletic or mentorship capacity
• Demonstrated ability to develop athletes at various skill levels
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

• Coaching stipends (paid after the completion of the season and only after all required trainings and employment requirements have been successfully completed)
• Reimbursement for Aktivate training costs may be available
