About The Position

The Head Coach - Boys Soccer position is responsible for leading the boys' soccer program at Raymond S Kellis High School. This role involves coaching, team building, fundraising, and ensuring adherence to school district and AIA rules. The coach will also be responsible for student safety and may be required to travel for competitions.

Requirements

  • Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "Fundamentals of Coaching" course, or approved equivalent (AIA Rule 17.1).
  • Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "Concussion in Sports � What You Need to Know" course (AIA Rule 17.1).
  • An Arizona Teaching Certificate OR an Arizona Coaching Certificate OR a certificate verifying completion sport specific course (AIA Rule 17.1.2).
  • Current Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Knowledge of essential skills, techniques, rules, and safety concerns for the sport.
  • Skill in communicating with all stakeholders.
  • Knowledge necessary to adhere to rules set out by AIA and Peoria Unified School District.
  • Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Must be able to pass a background clearance check.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arizona driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with online platforms like MaxPreps and HUDL.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the boys' soccer program.
  • Coach student-athletes in essential skills, techniques, and rules of soccer.
  • Ensure the safety of all student-athletes.
  • Adhere to rules set by AIA and Peoria Unified School District.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Utilize online platforms for specific sports (e.g., MaxPreps, HUDL).
  • Establish camaraderie among players through teambuilding, fundraising, and service projects.
  • Attend mandatory school district and AIA meetings.
  • Transport students to and from competitions if required.
