About The Position

This is a Head Coach position for Basketball at Zuni Hills Elementary. The position is part of Athletics/Activities/Extra Duties Stipends and is a coaching role. The position is open until filled.

Requirements

• Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "Fundamentals of Coaching" course, or approved equivalent (AIA Rule 17.1).
• Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "Concussion in Sports � What You Need to Know" course (AIA Rule 17.1).
• An Arizona Teaching Certificate OR an Arizona Coaching Certificate OR a certificate verifying completion sport specific course (AIA Rule 17.1.2).
• Current Certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Pass a background clearance check.
• Obtain and maintain an Arizona driver's license.
• Utilize online platforms required for specific sports like MaxPreps, HUDL, and others.

Responsibilities

• Establish a sense of comradery among our players through teambuilding, fundraising, service projects, etc.
• Adhere to rules set out by AIA and Peoria Unified School District #11.
• Attend mandatory school district and AIA meetings.
• Communicate with all stakeholders.
• Coach basketball, including essential skills, techniques, rules, and safety concerns.
• Drive students to and from competitions if required.
