About The Position

The Head Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment within the fitness club. This includes detailed cleaning of restrooms, locker rooms, windows, walls, floors, and all other areas of the facility. The role also involves assisting with front desk operations, communicating with members to provide excellent service, and ensuring cleaning supplies are adequately stocked. The Head Cleaner must be able to operate standard custodial equipment and maintain organized storage areas.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality skills.
Great communication skills with internal and external customers.
Must be team oriented, motivated, and well organized.
Ability to think critically and evaluate solutions to problems proactively.
Use and knowledge of operating floor scrubber and vacuum cleaner.

Nice To Haves

Custodial experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker room areas, shower rooms, stall walls and doors, and all waste areas.
Inspect and clean all windows and window frames, both interior and exterior.
Detail clean all baseboards, wall trim, walls, and handrails throughout the facility, ensuring surfaces are free of handprints, scuff marks, and dust.
Dust and clean all air vents, TVs, signage, storage or glass doors, and light fixtures.
Assist in front desk operations as needed, including use of Point of Sale.
Follow cleaning lists and other assigned tasks.
Remove or push down trash from all waste areas.
Clean all rubber or tile flooring throughout the gym floor, including auxiliary rooms and under gym equipment, using a vacuum, floor scrubber, and mop.
Use and operate floor scrubber and vacuum cleaner.
Communicate with members and create a high level of member service.
Keep all storage rooms clean and organized with products properly arranged on shelving racks.
Discard all loose boxes and trash.
Notify club management if inventory for cleaning supplies is low and needs replenishment.
