The Head Cashier provides SMART customer service by executing Lowe's customer service policies and procedures. This role involves assisting customers with their needs, locating and demonstrating merchandise, and answering questions about products and programs. The Head Cashier also coaches and trains front-end associates, processes sales transactions, returns, and refunds, and manages register operations. They are responsible for preparing the register area, inspecting returned merchandise, entering customer orders, and looking up product information. Additionally, the Head Cashier records store use items, monitors cash levels, detects and reports security risks, and ensures compliance with housekeeping and safety standards. They operate various store equipment as needed and perform other assigned duties.
