About The Position

Monticello High School is seeking a Head Boys Tennis Coach. The position involves developing and training student-athletes, organizing practice schedules, and fostering teamwork and good sportsmanship. The coach will be responsible for adhering to VHSL rules and regulations, maintaining positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, and the community, and traveling with the team to matches. This is a part-time, temporary position with a coaching stipend available.

Requirements

• Knowledge of VHSL rules and regulations
• Ability to develop and train AA student-athletes
• Personal skills that reflect positive relations with high school student-athletes, parents and the community
• Extensive knowledge of the principles of individual and team fundamentals of the listed sports
• Ability to organize and prepare practice schedules
• Ability to develop a solid discipline that emphasizes team work and good sportsmanship
• Previous coaching experience is required
• Disclosure of prior convictions of law other than minor traffic violations or juvenile offenses
• Verification of information provided by applicants through work history, personal reference or criminal record inquiries

Nice To Haves

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license
• Tennis coaching/playing experience
