About The Position

Pendleton High School is seeking a Varsity Head Coach for Boys Soccer for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is open until filled. The coach will be responsible for developing relationships within the program, managing a successful grade 9-12 program, and fostering partnerships with the youth program (grades 3-8). This role includes providing summer workouts, working with local media, establishing community relationships, and serving as a role model for student-athletes. The coach will also cooperate with other school-sponsored sports and develop/implement an off-season program. Tracking academic progress and participating in fundraising efforts with the buck booster club are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

• NFHS Certification
• First Aid Card (CPR and AED trained)
• District Fingerprinting/Criminal check
• Pre-employment Drug Screen
• Completion of OSAA Concussion Test
• Completion of OSAA Steroid Test
• Completion of School District and OSAA paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships within and around the program with players, coaches, parents, and the student body.
• Manage a successful grade 9-12 program and foster partnerships with the youth program (grades 3-8).
• Provide summer workouts.
• Work with local media as needed and establish a relationship with community support groups.
• Be a role model for high school student-athletes.
• Cooperate with other school-sponsored sports by encouraging athletes to compete in other programs.
• Develop and implement an off-season program.
• Track and follow up on the academic progress for student/athletes.
• Commit to fund-raising for the program(s), in partnership with the buck booster club.
