Head Boys and Girls Tennis Coach @ Hidden Valley High School
About The Position
Hidden Valley High School is seeking a Head Boys and Girls Tennis Coach to build and oversee a successful 9-12 tennis program. The coach will be responsible for all facets of the program, acting as a role model for student athletes, and fostering their growth both athletically and academically. This role involves developing and implementing off-season and summer programs, monitoring player academic progress, and cooperating with other school sports programs. The coach will also be expected to implement program standards and procedures aligned with the "Building Character through Sport" philosophy.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of the game of Tennis
- Demonstrate, model and teach strong work ethic
- Provide academic support
- Be a team and individual character builder
- Demonstrate organization skills in practice planning
- Communicate effectively with players, coaches, parents and school administration
- NFHS Certification
- First Aid Card (CPR and AED trained)
- District fingerprinting /Criminal check
- Completion of all OSAA Certifications
- Completion of ODE Steroid Test
- Completion of all School District paperwork
- Completion of Safe Schools trainings
Responsibilities
- Build a successful 9-12 tennis program and oversee all facets of the program
- Be a role model for high school student athletes
- Cooperate with other school-sponsored sports by encouraging athletes to compete in Fall and Winter programs
- Develop and implement an off-season and summer program
- Monitor the academic progress and attendance of the tennis players
- Be a team player among all coaches in the athletic program
- Implement program standards & procedures based on the “Building Character through Sport” philosophy
