About The Position

Join a well-regarded artisan bakery and café in Philadelphia, known for its exceptional bread and expanding wholesale operations. As the Head Baker, you will lead daily production for over 200 local wholesale accounts, ensuring the highest quality in artisan and naturally-leavened breads. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while making a significant impact on our growing client base.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in artisan/naturally-leavened bread production.
  • High-volume and wholesale production background strongly preferred.
  • Experience in team leadership and production scheduling.
  • ServSafe certification is a plus.
  • Bi Lingual Spanish- English

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily artisan bread production supporting 200+ wholesale accounts and a growing client base.
  • Manage levain/starter health, fermentation schedules, and ensure recipe consistency at scale.
  • Build and run production schedules to meet daily wholesale delivery commitments.
  • Supervise, train, and develop the baking team to achieve production goals.
  • Oversee ordering, inventory management, and ensure food safety/sanitation compliance.
