About The Position

The Head Athletic Trainer will maintain and coordinate a comprehensive sports medicine program for Spalding University athletics. Duties will include: Injury prevention, emergency care, first aid and physical rehabilitation of injuries incurred by Spalding University's intercollegiate athletes. Will organize and conduct medically prescribed sports rehabilitation and conditioning programs following an injury and be responsible for appropriate organization and implementation of athletic insurance claim paperwork and follow-up as necessary. Supervise, and participate in the teaching of graduate athletic training students enrolled in an innovative, new entry-level Master of Science Degree Program in Athletic Training.

Requirements

  • Certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)
  • Eligible for licensure in the state of Kentucky
  • Master's degree
  • Previous collegiate athletic training experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Excellent budget management skills
  • Knowledge of the NCAA
