Carthage College Athletics is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Athletic Trainer to join our sports medicine team. This full-time, eleven-month position is designed to support a healthy work-life balance, with a typical workload of 40 hours per week during the academic year. June provides optional opportunities to work paid summer camps or enjoy time off, while July offers additional camp opportunities and flexibility through a remote workload. Carthage College is committed to the professional growth of its staff by providing fully funded continuing education, as well as coverage of BOC, NATA, and state licensure dues. Additional benefits include tuition remission for employees and their dependents. In this role, the successful candidate will serve as the primary athletic trainer for the Carthage football program, providing comprehensive medical coverage and collaborating closely with coaches, student-athletes, and healthcare providers to support the health and performance of the team. Additional sport assignments may be determined based on departmental needs and the expertise of the selected candidate, in consultation with athletic training leadership. The position offers the opportunity to work with student-athletes across 28 NCAA Division III programs and may include travel with assigned teams. The athletic trainer will also collaborate with the Carthage College Athletic Training Education Program, a CAATE-accredited master's-level program, serving as a preceptor and mentor to graduate athletic training students. Opportunities may also exist for academic teaching appointments within the School of Health, Allied Health Science, and Master of Athletic Training Program, with associated stipend compensation.
