About The Position

Pope Saint John Paul II Preparatory School is seeking a Head Archery Coach. The head coach will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive archery program that aligns with the school's mission and values. This position requires a strong background in coaching and training in archery, leadership skills, and a passion for developing student-athletes. The head coach will oversee all aspects of the archery program and should demonstrate the ability to build meaningful connections with JPII students, parents, prospective families, and the overall school community. Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher. Pope Saint John Paul II Preparatory School is a 6th-12th Grade Catholic School in the Diocese of Nashville. Requirements

Experience coaching or training in archery.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to fostering a student-centered environment emphasizing character and personal growth.
Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Responsibilities

Serve as a daily witness to Christ through professional conduct, leadership, and a vibrant faith life.
Promote the archery program within the school community, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission.
Lead and manage all aspects of the archery program, including practices, contests, and competition strategies.
Manage the archery program operations, including equipment, scheduling, travel, and budgeting, in coordination with the Athletic Department and other coaching staff.
Provide leadership and guidance to coaches at all program levels to ensure a cohesive coaching staff and program alignment.
Actively seek out and identify coaching talent, including full-time faculty and staff members and community coaches, who can contribute to the program.
Organize and oversee youth clinics, summer camps, and summer development programs to build and develop the program's pipeline of talent and engagement.
Build connections with middle school students to promote the sport and provide opportunities for younger students to engage with the program.
Foster a team culture built on the school’s mission and values.
Build rapport and strong relationships with all student-athletes on the team.
Monitor the academic performance of student-athletes to ensure that eligibility requirements are met.
